On Saturday 24th of February, 12, very wrapped up cadets headed on an adventure to Exeter. After about an hour’s drive we finally arrived at Haven Banks and were welcomed by some wonderful (yet cold) sunshine! After a bit of low level climbing to get used to the wall, we all donned our safety harnesses and headed for the skies. Everybody did incredibly well and had a lovely time. After about an hour of climbing, we were then treated to caving. This was a pitch black labyrinth with a large ball pit in the middle. Everybody loved this too, and thought it was a lovely addition to the climbing. Peter and Derek however weren’t quite as enthusiastic as it wasn’t designed for fully grown 6ft adults!
