Support Horizons in the Bishop Fleming Challenge Trophy

Bishop Fleming logobishop flemingWestcountry based Top 40 accountants, Bishop Fleming, are hosting the second year of the “Bishop Fleming Challenge Trophy”- a sailing race held in and around Plymouth Sound on Saturday 5th September.

Every boat entering the challenge will donate £100 to Horizons, a Plymouth charity that uses maritime activity to inspire personal development for young people. Horizons themselves will be entering three boats into the race with sailing novices from Bishop Fleming volunteering to be part of their crew.

Last year’s event attracted 24 yachts with many already confirmed for the 2015 event.

All crews will receive their race instructions whilst enjoying a breakfast bacon-roll and coffee before being divided into two divisions – spanning faster boats and slower boats.

According to Charlie Thomson, Partner in Charge of Bishop Fleming’s Plymouth office: “This is a fun event for everyone who enjoys sailing or just fancies giving it a go, but it has a serious purpose: to help raise funds for Horizons who use sailing as a platform for transforming the lives of young people.”

There is berthing available on the visitor pontoon at Queen Anne’s Battery for the morning briefing before the race. For those who do not have access to a yacht, please contact Bishop Fleming for details of yacht charter.

If you would like to enter a boat, please complete and return the entry form (click the link below) to Bishop Fleming, Salt Quay House, 4 North East Quay, Sutton Harbour, Plymouth, PL4 0BN, enclosing a cheque payable to ‘Horizons’
